So while it mostly accomplishes to make you believe that everything is randomly generated and varied, it sometimes hits you right in the face showing you that its really not. Yet i had 3 occasions where i finished one mission on a ship and my next mission had the exact same layout. Especially since ships can have effects that varry from time to time(for example a ship starts with deactivated systems, closed doors, darkness or hazards).
